When Great Skincare Goes to Sleep | enVy®
A founder-to-founder concept note
Prepared by Kathy & Kim

When great skincare goes to sleep.

Optimizing the overnight skin environment — a conversation we would love to explore with Vivier.

Mike, three years ago we spoke about collaborating. Since then, enVy has continued to evolve in ways that have opened up a much broader conversation than we could have imagined at the time.

Rather than send a traditional proposal, we wanted to share an idea that has continued to grow for us — and explain why Vivier immediately came to mind.

This is not about replacing what happens in the bottle. It is about supporting what happens after the bottle is closed.

Why we thought of you.

Vivier has built something rare: a Canadian skincare company with clinical credibility, professional trust, scientific discipline, and a deep understanding of what patients invest in their skin.

Your products are part of the patient’s nighttime routine. We have become increasingly focused on what happens next.

We realized our brands may solve different parts of the same overnight skin story.

The overnight skin environment.

A patient’s nighttime routine does not end when they apply their skincare. It continues with what their skin rests against for the next eight hours.

The pillowcase becomes part of the skin environment.

Every night, the skin transfers oils, perspiration, skincare residue, environmental debris, and microorganisms onto the pillowcase.

Night after night, that sleep surface becomes part of the skin’s environment.

We believe that if patients are thoughtful about what they apply before bed, they should also be thoughtful about what their skin rests against while they sleep.

The nightly contact zone

Pressure, friction, heat, moisture, bacteria, oils, residue, and repeated contact all come together during sleep. That is the space enVy has been working to understand and improve.

Why we created biofunctional silk.

Traditional silk is beautiful. It reduces friction. It feels luxurious. It has earned its place in beauty sleep. But as registered nurses, we believed silk could do more.

Traditional Silk

  • Smooth surface
  • Luxury textile
  • Helps reduce friction on hair and skin
  • Passive beauty sleep accessory

Silk with a Purpose™

  • Premium 22 momme, 6A Mulberry silk
  • Sewn and embroidered in Montreal
  • Proprietary Canadian biofunctional textile technology
  • COPPER, COPPER + HYLA⁺, and newest COPPER + ZINC
  • Designed to support a cleaner, more purposeful overnight skin environment

Ordinary silk is passive. We wanted ours to work harder.

Silk with a Purpose™ is not simply a luxury pillowcase. It is a biofunctional sleep surface designed around the realities of overnight skin contact.

COPPER technology and the cleaner sleep surface.

Our COPPER technology helps reduce bacteria on the fabric surface, supporting a cleaner sleep environment between washes.

For patients managing acne-prone skin, post-procedure recovery, or simply investing in healthier skin, that distinction matters.

Bacteria and residue can be transferred to a pillowcase during repeated overnight contact.
Copper-infused textiles help reduce bacterial load on the fabric surface.
This supports the broader idea of a more intentional overnight skin environment.

The skin imprinting problem.

Every night, the face meets the pillow. That contact involves more than pressure.

PressureFacial compression during side sleeping.
FrictionMovement against the sleep surface.
Heat + MoistureA micro-environment created overnight.
BacteriaRepeated contact with the same surface between washes.
OilsNatural sebum transfer from skin to fabric.
ResidueSkincare and environmental debris left behind.
BarrierCompromised skin may be more reactive to its environment.
TimeEight hours, night after night.

Canadian craftsmanship, with real traceability.

We are proud that this next chapter of enVy is connected to Montreal.

Our silk is sewn, embroidered, infused, and quality controlled through Canadian partners who understand precision, craftsmanship, and textile integrity.

Not just a marketing line.

For us, Canadian manufacturing is part of how we protect quality, traceability, and trust. As two Canadian companies with shared values around science, care, and innovation, we felt this connection was worth exploring.

We do not know exactly what the right collaboration looks like. That is why we would love to talk.

The most interesting opportunity may be one neither of us has thought of yet.

Patient Education

Helping patients understand the role of the sleep surface in the overnight skin environment.

Professional Education

Creating language clinicians and skincare professionals can use without sounding salesy.

Post-Procedure Care

Supporting patients as they think about pressure, friction, cleanliness, and recovery after treatment.

Acne-Prone Skin

Exploring COPPER + ZINC as a meaningful textile story for patients concerned with breakouts and inflammation.

Healthy Aging

Connecting friction reduction, facial compression, silk, and nightly skin routines in a more complete story.

Retail + Research

Selective retail, co-created content, clinical research, or something more imaginative we build together.

Mike, thank you for taking the time to read this.

Whether or not this leads anywhere, we wanted to share the idea because Vivier kept coming to mind as the kind of company that would understand it.

You have spent years helping patients care for their skin with intention. We have spent years rethinking what their skin rests against while they sleep.

We would love the opportunity to reconnect, hear what Vivier has been building, and explore whether there is something meaningful we could create together.
