I've heard latex causes allergies — is this safe?
For the vast majority of people, yes. Latex allergies are triggered by proteins found in raw natural rubber — not in the vulcanized, washed, and processed latex used in bedding. Our latex core is steam-baked at 220°F and thoroughly washed, which eliminates the reaction-related proteins. It's also fully enclosed in an undyed 100% cotton protective cover, so there's no direct skin contact with the latex itself. According to the FDA, there have been no reported allergic reactions to latex foam in bedding across more than 35 years of use.
